Nearly 12, 000 spectators gathered for the demonstration match via odds draw tips between ATP leader Novak Djokovic and world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in Kazakhstan. The Titans Clash show at the modern Boris Arena in the capital Nur-Sultan turned into a great holiday for the local audience, and Matadora won 6:3, 3:6, 11-9.

The demonstration led to a lot of discussion and provoked the disapproval of many who criticized Nadal and Djokovic for choosing a private party in Kazakhstan to participate in the official ATP tournaments this week (in Basel and Vienna).

One of the dissatisfied was the tournament director of the Erste Bank Open in the Austrian capital Edwin Weindorfer, who did not approve of the fact that the world No. 2 and the leader in the rankings were allowed to participate in this type of event during the season.

Both will be back on tour next week when the last of the Masters season begins. After the battle in Paris, Novak and Rafa are set to perform in London and Madrid, where the Davis Cup will take place.
