Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has received a prize at the Globe Soccer Awards.


The Egyptian was named the best player of the year by fans from TikTok. The 30-year-old was ahead of Kevin de Bruyne, Erling Haaland (both Manchester City), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona), Lionel Messi (PSG) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) in the voting.


The award for the best agent of the year was Jorge Mendes - this happened for the 10th time in 13 years. Other contenders included Pini Zahavi, Jonathan Barnett, Rafaela Pimenta, Frank Trimboli and Leon Angel.
