Norris` boss is convinced Lando can compete with Verstappen.
McLaren chief executive Zak Brown has spoken out about Lando Norris`s potential fight with Red Bull leader Max Verstappen.


I truly believe that Lando is capable of defeating Max in a direct confrontation. In my opinion it would have been an amazing battle and many races would have ended badly for one driver, the other or both.


But in terms of pure talent, I haven`t seen anyone faster than Lando. Of course, Max is just as fast, and I`m sure many will disagree with me. Ultimately, we`ll never know the answer until we see them in identical cars.


At the same time, given everything Lando does, I don`t see a faster driver. It`s amazing that Oscar [Piastri] is able to perform on equal terms with him. As he gains experience, I think he will be able to do this more often, " Brown said.


Zach also spoke about Norris` bet on McLaren:


I think he saw how we turned things around last year and he believes in Andrea Stella, the whole team - it`s a family, he loves the McLaren brand.


But, and this is the most important thing, he is convinced that we will give him a car to win, which is what we did last weekend. This only increased my confidence.
